Taking off all that make up is literally the best think you can do for your complexion.
But if you're anything like me, you're so incredibly lazy at night and fail to do it most of the time....
UNLESS it takes about 20 seconds and very little effort.
But did you know...
Every night that you don't take off your makeup, you VISIBLY age about 13 days? AWFUL.
ALSO,
If you leave your makeup on at night you will..
1. Have black smears all over your eyes and wake up looking like a raccoon. Not sexy.
2. Potentially get makeup in your eyes that can cause an infection.
3. Probably end up breaking out in zits because your pores get clogged. Also not sexy.
So you should probably find something you know you will use.
Every. Night.
I'm sure there are billions of magical makeup removers out there.
I used to use this one:

What is it you may ask?
It is NARS makeup removing "water". And it is fantastic. Francois Nars himself created it for the runway, because it literally takes your whole face off with one clean swipe. It also has cucumber and a few other things in it which makes your skin feel cleaner than.... anything.
But the downside? THE PRICE. I had to find something a little cheaper. But I sure do miss it :(
If you happen to be a little price sensitive at the moment, like myself....
you may want to try this:

It does the same thing and won't cost a fortune.
BINGO. Katie now takes off her makeup.
My one complaint about it? It kind of sucks with taking off eye makeup. So I may need something a little stronger for that....
My point to this whole rant?
Wash your face!
That is all :) Happy Tuesday everyone!

I love Nars products but Ive never tried that! Like you, Im feeling the pinch so right now Im using Johnstons 3 in 1 wipes. I agree though, wipes arent great for the eyes! I bought Johnstons eye make up pads, they are great! and inexpensive haha xxxx

Oh nice!! :)
DeleteTotally wlil give those wipes a try! Almay has a good eyemakeup removal wipe - its fantastic for me!
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Almay! Thanks for the comment girly :)
DeleteI agree, Almay has the best eye makeup remove I've ever used! I don't have many skin care secrets but my nighttime skin care routine is pretty important. I get breakouts if I even skip one night.
ReplyDeleteUh my skin does NOT like makeup on overnight either :/ Best to keep it clean!
Deletehaha!Nars remover is just so expensive for when you could find same at £3..good point !!xx
ReplyDeleteMy favorite eye make-up remover is the Sephora brand. I get the water-proof, it leaves a little residue but if you do that first you can use your full face method to remove it. I used to buy more expensive brands. I once was talking to a Sephora employee about it and she said she has tried almost all of them this is her favorite. SOLD! Oh and it's 9.50 a bottle but lasts FOREVER!

ReplyDeleteA cheaper fix is.... BABY WIPES! I swear by them! They are super duper cheap, take make up off like a champ, and some have moisturizing agents in them! ;)
ReplyDeleteI use Johnson and Johnson Head to Toe (tear free, which helps with getting mascara/ eyeliner off your eyes), in the shower every night! It's gentle enough that it doesn't dry out your skin. I've been using it for years and LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteLise Watier makes some nice Makeup wipes too!! They are moisturizing and you can use them around your eyes (they are gentle too!!). Plus, you get 56 in a pack so you don't gotta run to the store every 2 weeks. ;)
ReplyDeletetotally love this! thanks for sharing bec. am always on the look out for make up removers :)
